Plavac mali from the southern slopes of the island of Hvar, known as “Hvar beaches”. The wine is aged in 500 l French barrels for 18 months and 6 months in bottles before being released on the market.
It is produced only in the best years. The color of the wine is dark red with purple reflections. The nose is dominated by aromas of red fruits and medicinal herbs, green tea leaves and thyme. On the palate, red fruits, such as cherries and sour cherries, with buttery notes reminiscent of a shortcrust fruit pie, mixed with coffee beans, chocolate and black pepper.
A full-bodied wine with ripe, soft tannins and high extracts, slightly liqueur-like notes.
